Not only have we created this holographic technology, that sits within The Atom — a smart, site-safe headset/hardhat — but we implement it on projects, utilising the power of AR to ensure that all schemes are completed in line with delivery timescales and budgets.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US & Europe and is working with Mission Critical organisations & construction companies to successfully deliver major projects.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">THE ROLE</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role sits within the Production team at our NPI facility in Reading, Berkshire, reporting to the Production & Quality Director.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As Senior Production Engineer, you will be the senior engineering lead for production at the facility — combining hands-on technical depth in robotics and electrical engineering with day-to-day leadership of the assembly, test and calibration team.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll own how XYZ's AR devices are built, tested and calibrated, and how that process scales — accountable both for delivery against the build plan and for the manufacturing engineering that makes the plan achievable. This includes leading the move from a prototype build process to one designed for volume.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Lead the assembly, test and calibration team day to day — allocating work against the build plan, developing team capability through skills matrix and cross-training, and mentoring assembly and test engineers.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Own the robot calibration and configuration processes that set the accuracy of XYZ AR devices; own production test systems including test rigs, acceptance criteria, measurement capability and calibration control.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Establish a measured build-and-test cycle time per unit; own manufacturing process design and improvement — cycle time, first-time-right yield, rework reduction and labour efficiency.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Lead the move from prototype build to volume production — NPI, first-article builds, process validation, jigs and fixtures, and identifying and implementing automation opportunities.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Lead root-cause analysis on returns and field failures and drive corrective actions to closure under ISO 9001 clause 10.2; set in-process quality gates and inspection criteria.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Own build documentation — create and control assembly, test and calibration work instructions under the QMS; support engineering change implementation on the production side.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Degree or equivalent in electrical, electronic, mechatronic or manufacturing engineering.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Substantial hands-on electrical and electronic engineering experience on complex products — schematics, harnesses, PCB-level fault-finding, measurement and instrumentation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Demonstrable robotics experience: programming, calibration, configuration and integration into a production or test process.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Experience leading a small technical team with evidence of developing people, not just directing them.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Track record of scaling a low-volume, high-complexity build — process design, yield improvement and automation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Experience taking a product from prototype into repeatable production.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Comfortable with command-line tools, firmware installation and test scripting.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Experience working to ISO 9001, including NCR and corrective action processes.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Confident user of ERP and inventory management systems.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• A hands-on leader who sets the standard personally and holds the team to it.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">BENEFITS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🏝️ 25 days annual leave + public holidays</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🩺 Private healthcare with Vitality</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🎄 Christmas shutdown days on top of leave allowance (2–4 per year usually)</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🪙 Biannual salary reviews</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🥳 Summer & Christmas staff parties</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 💰 Employee referral scheme</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🚲 Cycle to Work scheme</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• 🚀 Make a real-world impact of revolutionising the construction industry</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
