We have $25M in funding, 1M+ pets on the platform, and a buzzing HQ in Paddington, London.<br /></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a rare chance to join a rocket ship at exactly the right moment and we’re looking for exceptional people to help us fly it.<br /><br /></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>In this role, you will</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>The Foundation</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the month-end close process from start to finish, producing clean, accurate reporting that the leadership team can act on, across multiple entities</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own FinOps end-to-end - accounts receivable, accounts payable, and cash management - running reliably at pace as we scale internationally</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build the KPI reporting layer that gives leadership a real-time picture of performance - and use AI to automate the parts of finance that shouldn’t need a human</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><br /><strong>The Upside</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Business partner the commercial, product and engineering teams on the decisions behind the numbers</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build the budget and rolling forecast alongside the Finance Director</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own the analysis behind the commercial questions that actually move the business – pricing, unit economics, cost to serve and market entry</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build the numbers behind our board & investor reporting, including getting involved with future funding rounds</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><br /><strong>Your background looks something like</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">ACA qualified (essential) - ACCA or CIMA considered for the right candidate</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Recently qualified or 0–2 years PQE, ideally Big 4 trained out of audit, transaction services, or deal advisory</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong academics and the commercial sharpness to be pulled into strategy conversations, not just execution</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfortable with ambiguity and high ownership - you take responsibility beyond the job description without being asked</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience at a B2B SaaS or tech scale-up finance function (nice to have)</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Xero experience and/or financial modelling skills (nice to have)</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">International exposure (nice to have)</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><br /><strong>As a person, you</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Have genuine enthusiasm and a hunger to learn, this role can become whatever you make it, and we want someone who sees that as exciting, not daunting</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Are sharp enough to be in the room for the important conversations and confident enough to contribute when you get there</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Take real ownership, you don’t wait to be told something needs doing, you spot it and sort it</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Are comfortable operating with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment where the playbook is still being written</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Are excited to work in-person from our Paddington, London HQ</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Value working with people who are kind, ambitious, and pragmatic</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><br /><strong>What does success look like in 6 months?</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You run Month end & FinOps cleanly with minimal oversight</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’re the trusted point of contact across the business for day-to-day finance questions</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ve owned a piece of analysis that change a decision – a pricing call, a cost line, an expansion question etc</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ve already identified and automated at least one process using AI -
