Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a SaaS product engineering team building AI-powered tools for certification, inspection, and compliance workflows. You will work directly with customer operations to turn real-world processes into reliable software that improves how these workflows are carried out.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work alongside customers to understand how certification, inspection, and compliance processes operate in practice.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Lead customer calls, write product specifications, and build full-stack systems from user interface through backend, data model, and AI components.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own product areas from discovery through production delivery, collaborating directly with company founders.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship software quickly, observe how customers use it, and refine it based on feedback.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Use judgment to distinguish customer requests that apply broadly from those that are specific to one workflow.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Analyze customer documents and real-world outputs to develop AI-enabled workflows for scheduling, technical review, conformity assessment, field inspection, and document intelligence.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Three to six years of software or product engineering experience, with a record of building and shipping production systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Full-stack development skills, including Python backend services, TypeScript, React or a similar modern frontend framework, and data modeling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience integrating AI or machine learning systems into production products, including LLMs or document intelligence.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building products or systems from the ground up, ideally in an early-stage or founding engineering environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort working directly with customers and translating operational needs into durable software.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong technical fundamentals and the ability to work across frontend, backend, and cloud infrastructure.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Base salary: £100,000 to £160,000 annually.
