Our solutions provide legal texts, compliance services, and expert support that enable thousands of online shops to operate with confidence.As a Cloud Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and operating secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS. Working closely with software engineers, a Product Manager, and an Agile Coach, you will help shape our cloud platform, enable development teams through automation and Infrastructure as Code, and contribute to a reliable, observable, and cost-efficient cloud environment. Responsibilities<ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on AWS.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Contribute to the introduction, deployment, and operation of new services and infrastructure capabilities across their lifecycle.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Build and maintain reusable Infrastructure-as-Code components with Terraform and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation tooling, primarily based on CircleCI.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Help establish and evolve standards for monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability to ensure reliable and efficient operations.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Support cloud governance, AWS resource lifecycle management, cloud cost optimization (FinOps), and cloud security best practices.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Apply AI-assisted and agentic engineering practices to improve automation, delivery speed, and operational efficiency.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW170206124 BCX0"><li>Participate in incident response and on-call rotations, while collaborating with internal teams and external hosting providers to ensure reliable operations and maintain supporting infrastructure.</li></ul> <ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>3+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS - such as ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, SQS, etc.- along with strong expertise in Infrastructure-as-Code, ideally with Terraform</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions, ideally with CircleCI.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Solid scripting or software development skills in Bash, TypeScript or Python.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Practical experience using AI-assisted and agentic engineering tools in DevOps workflows, combined with the curiosity and ability to evaluate emerging AI capabilities.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Experience with containerized environments using Docker and Amazon ECS.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Strong understanding of monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability concepts (e.g. CloudWatch, Instana), including troubleshooting across applications and infrastructure.</li></ul><ul class="BulletListStyle1 SCXW203643763 BCX0"><li>Knowledge of cloud security best practices, AWS governance, FinOps, and experience working with externally hosted environments, complemented by practical experience leveraging AI-assisted engineering tools.</li></ul>What we offer you<ul><li>Hybrid work: Combine flexible remote work with team time in the Cologne office (on-site days depending on your location)</li><li>Workation: Temporarily work from a destination of your choice within EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Norway</li><li>28 vacation days </li><li>2.5 additional days off at Christmas, New Year's Eve and Carnival</li><li>Buddy program (an experienced trustee is at your side)</li><li>Individual learning & development opportunities (internal & external trainings, e-learnings)</li><li>Events (Team Events, Unit Events, etc.)</li><li>Health Pass (free online and offline sports, fitness, and health courses)</li></ul><ul><li>Permanent contract with Europe's trusted brand</li></ul> BUILD A COMMUNITY OF TRUST WITH US - #cometotrustNot sure if you are what we are looking for?
