Forward Deployed Engineer

<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a customer-facing engineering team at a venture-backed enterprise AI software company. You will work directly with enterprise customers to understand complex operational challenges and build practical software solutions that make a measurable impact.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Travel to customer sites in the UK and internationally for up to 50% of your time to understand their needs and develop solutions.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design, prototype, and ship working software quickly across varied customer environments and technology stacks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Partner with forward deployed engineers and software engineers during customer engagements and pilots.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Share customer insights and product learnings with the core product team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prepare and deliver demos and pilots for prospective customers in manufacturing, automotive, retail, and financial services.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">One to five years of experience as a customer-facing full-stack software engineer or forward deployed engineer, including at least one year shipping production code.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, Python, LangChain, and Vercel AI SDK, with familiarity with Rust, SQL, REST APIs, cloud infrastructure, enterprise data systems, and AI or LLM tooling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong systems design skills and the ability to turn customer problems into scalable technical solutions, while remaining flexible about technology choices.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A degree in computer science, engineering, or another STEM field, with strong technical fundamentals.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Startup, founder, or early-stage company experience, and a record of commitment in previous roles.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation &amp; Benefits</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Base salary is £100,000 to £175,000 annually.
