<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a founding-team engineering position at a pre-seed AI-powered SaaS startup operating in the construction technology (ConTech) space. As one of the first engineers, you will own the product technically from day one — partnering directly with the founders to build a category-defining platform that automates project documentation, decision tracking, workflow management, and risk analysis for the construction industry.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will have end-to-end ownership across the full stack, from data models and backend systems to intuitive, responsive user interfaces, with direct and visible impact on customer outcomes in a rapidly evolving market.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Important:</strong> German language proficiency is a hard requirement for this role.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build customer-facing features spanning database design through beautiful, responsive frontends.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design robust, scalable systems capable of handling complex workflows and large, real-world datasets.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ship code fast — work in a high-velocity environment where ideas go from concept to production in days.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build sophisticated data workflows leveraging AI and vector data capabilities.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate closely with founders to shape product direction and key technical decisions.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required skills & experience:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Fluent German speaker (hard requirement).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong proficiency in <strong>TypeScript</strong> and <strong>Next.js</strong> for full-stack development.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience with <strong>PostgreSQL</strong> and <strong>Supabase</strong>, including vector data.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with <strong>LangChain</strong>, <strong>TanStack Query</strong>, and <strong>shadcn UI</strong> for building UIs and data workflows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">A track record of stable tenure — preferably roles lasting 12+ months (internships excluded).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong computer science fundamentals; a university degree is valued but not required.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Prior experience in a startup environment, shipping features rapidly.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in or knowledge of the construction or project management industry.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to take full end-to-end ownership from database to UI with a direct eye on customer impact.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborative, founder-ready mindset — comfortable contributing to product and strategic decisions.</p></li></ul><h3>Location & Work Arrangement</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role is based in <strong>Munich, Germany</strong> and follows a <strong>hybrid</strong> working model.
