<h1><strong>Cybersecurity Intern</strong></h1><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Company:</strong> Sereact GmbH<br /><strong>Location:</strong> Stuttgart, Germany</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>About the role</strong></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help us improve the security and monitoring of our cloud infrastructure and internal systems. A key project will be building and rolling out our SIEM platform for centralized security monitoring and threat detection. You’ll also work on vulnerability management and ISO 27001/SOC 2 controls, while developing security tools and automation using Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll receive technical guidance and gradually take ownership of practical security projects.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Help build, deploy, and maintain our SIEM platform, integrating logs from cloud infrastructure, applications, identity systems, and network devices.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Configure monitoring dashboards, detection rules, and alerts to monitor infrastructure health and security.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Improve infrastructure security through access reviews, secure configurations, and vulnerability remediation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Investigate alerts and support incident response.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Develop and maintain security automation and integrate checks into CI/CD workflows.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Support ISO 27001 and SOC 2 controls, audit evidence collection, and documentation.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Basic knowledge of infrastructure security, networking, Linux, and SIEM concepts.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with ISO 27001 and SOC 2.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Practical coding experience with Python and JavaScript/TypeScript, plus familiarity with Git.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Curiosity, clear communication, and a practical approach to problem-solving.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or Terraform.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Exposure to SIEM, monitoring, vulnerability scanning, or compliance tools such as Vanta.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Google Cloud Build.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with REST APIs.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em">You don’t need experience with every technology listed.
