We use open-source and proprietary data and algorithms to build a highly scalable system that serves billions of requests yearly.<h2>You will be taking care of</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Building and taking end-to-end ownership of new features across our Kotlin-based backend microservices</li><li>Deploying features and scaling systems via Infrastructure as Code (IaC)</li><li>Partnering with product owners, fellow engineers, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements, clear blockers, and drive initiatives forward</li><li>Jumping into a dynamic team environment to refine our engineering practices and actively shape a tribe and product transformation as we evolve our backend architecture for the future</li><li>Looking beyond existing solutions to actively identify architectural bottlenecks and drive meaningful improvements</li></ul>Our Tech Stack:<ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Backend Services: Kotlin, Spring Boot, Relational Databases (PostgreSQL), AWS (ECS, SQS, Eventbridge, EC2), Infrastructure as Code (Pulumi)</li></ul><h2>You check these boxes</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>A background in computer science and software engineering, including a minimum of 3 years of backend experience</li><li>Proficiency in Kotlin or deep production experience in Java with a strong affinity for Kotlin, along with frameworks like Spring Boot and build tools like Gradle</li><li>Skilled in architectural design, specifically building fault-tolerant, high-throughput distributed systems</li><li>Hands-on cloud experience with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Pulumi</li><li>A commitment to clean code and engineering best practices, including RESTful/API design, Git, and maintainable technical documentation</li><li>A hands-on, data-driven mindset that actively builds new capabilities, challenges the status quo with clear evidence, and adds distinct, complementary perspectives to the team</li><li>Proficiency in Business English</li></ul><h2>It is awesome if you also have</h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li>Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming using Kotlin Coroutines and reactive data streams (e.g., Flow, RxJava, Project Reactor)</li><li>Practical know-how in taking ML models and productionizing them within backend services</li><li>Knowledge or practical experience with geospatial data processing</li></ul><h2>Take your chance</h2>Be a part of shaping a fast-growing industry and make an impact from day one.
