<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">Join a lean, high-impact engineering team at a Series A PropTech company building an <strong>AI-native operating system for short-term and holiday rental management</strong> across Europe. This is a central, ownership-heavy role — you'll design and ship agentic AI systems that observe, decide, and act on real-world property operations with humans in the loop. Expect to go deep on the business, modernize legacy systems, and turn messy operational workflows into reliable, autonomous software.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own features end-to-end — from requirement gathering through production deployment — with minimal hand-holding.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Design and build agentic AI workflows covering guest communication (chat and voice), operational decision-making, and property task management.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Modernize legacy systems and redesign data structures to meet evolving product needs.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Shadow real operational workflows to surface inefficiencies, hidden steps, and workarounds — then translate them into clean, production-ready software.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Scope, ship, and iterate on problems rather than working purely from a ticket queue.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Collaborate closely with internal teams to keep product and engineering tightly aligned.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Operate with high agency and sound judgment about speed vs. stability trade-offs.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Must-have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>TypeScript proficiency</strong> — this is a dealbreaker requirement.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrated ability to own features end-to-end: requirements → production, translating messy workflows into reliable systems.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Track record of shipping quickly with sound judgment about what can safely break in a lean startup environment.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with <strong>React, Express, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comfort working in an agentic engineering style — running multiple agents and terminals in parallel, using AI coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong product taste: attention to UX details down to messaging and interaction wording.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to self-manage: plan work, communicate progress, and flag blockers proactively.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Fluent English</strong> and strong written/verbal communication skills.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Willingness to relocate to Germany and work from the Berlin office.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to have:</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Founder mentality or prior startup founding experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with Linear and Notion for work tracking and documentation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in PropTech, hospitality tech, or operational SaaS.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €90,000 – €110,000 per year</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Small, accountable team focused on outcomes over process</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">High-ownership, high-impact engineering environment</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><em>Please note: visa sponsorship is not available for this role.</em></p><h3>Location</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is an <strong>on-site role based in Berlin, Germany</strong>.
