Senior HR IT Project Lead - SAP HCM / Integrations / Carve-out (Freelance only, Nearshore)

<p>For an international <strong>HR IT separation and stand-alone program</strong>, we are looking for an experienced <strong>Senior HR IT Project Lead</strong> to support the project on a full-time basis.</p> <p>The role combines <strong>operational project leadership with strong technical HR IT understanding</strong>. The consultant will work across several HR IT workstreams, identify dependencies and blockers, actively drive topics forward, and closely support internal workstream owners where HR IT knowledge is currently limited.</p> <p>This is <strong>not a pure PMO or reporting role</strong>. We are looking for someone who can understand complex HR system landscapes, challenge technical topics, structure unclear situations and actively push workstreams toward delivery.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Start:</strong> October 2026</li> <li><strong>Duration:</strong> 6 months</li> <li><strong>Workload:</strong> Full-time</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> Predominantly remote (very occasional workshops onsite)</li> <li><strong>Language:</strong> English</li> <li><strong>Contract type:</strong> Freelance / B2B</li> </ul> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Take operational ownership across several HR IT workstreams within an international carve-out / separation program</li> <li>Coordinate technical and functional activities across SAP HCM and related HR systems</li> <li>Drive interface, integration and data-flow topics between HR applications</li> <li>Identify blockers, risks and dependencies and actively push resolution</li> <li>Closely support and coach internal workstream owners with limited HR IT experience</li> <li>Manage dependencies between Recruiting, Core HR, Payroll, Workforce/Time and other HR systems</li> <li>Track critical work packages and escalate delays where required</li> <li>Work independently with internal stakeholders and external delivery partners</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Senior experience in complex HR IT transformation or separation programs</li> <li>Strong SAP HCM / SAP HR background</li> <li>Very good understanding of HR system integrations, interfaces and data flows</li> <li>Proven project or workstream leadership experience</li> <li>Experience with international HR system landscapes</li> <li>Strong stakeholder management and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to quickly structure complex situations and drive topics independently</li> <li>Excellent English skills</li> </ul> <p>Nice-to-haves:</p> <ul> <li>Carve-out, divestiture, TSA exit or stand-alone setup experience</li> <li>SuccessFactors and/or SmartRecruiters experience</li> <li>Payroll and/or Workforce Management / Time & Attendance experience</li> <li>SAP HCM exposure in APAC and/or the Americas</li> </ul> <p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
