You are trusted to make decisions that drive a material impact on the direction and success of Lendable from day 1</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Work in small teams of exceptional people,</strong> who are relentlessly resourceful to solve problems and find smarter solutions than the status quo</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Build the best technology in-house</strong>, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting</p></li></ol><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>About the role:</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re hiring new financial crime investigators due to <strong>continued business growth</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll conduct important financial crime screening checks and investigations into new applicants and existing customers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will use screening tools to <strong>match customer data against PEPs & Sanctions lists</strong> and use your <strong>initiative</strong> to determine the risks associated with the application/ customer.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will review customer profile information and <strong>transactional activity</strong> to identify financial crime risks, and take appropriate action on the account..</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will submit <strong>internal Suspicious Activity Reports</strong> in instances where suspicious activity has been identified. </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">As the business grows you may be required to take on additional tasks to support the Financial Crime Team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll work in the office 3 days per week.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll work 40 hours per week. This means you'll work Monday to Friday, from 9am to 6pm, with a one hour lunch break.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll also work one full weekend (Saturday and Sunday), once every 4 weeks, and have two weekdays off in lieu.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>Your team’s objectives</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Protect </strong>our customers and society, by <strong>preventing fraud and financial crime</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Comply with financial crime regulations and company policy.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Minimise customer and applicant friction through <strong>skilled and timely decisions</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Identify opportunities for <strong>product</strong> and <strong>process improvement</strong>.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>How you’ll impact those objectives</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll support new <strong>application checks </strong>and<strong> existing customer monitoring</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll investigate potential Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and Sanctions matches, and assist with <strong>onboarding reviews</strong>.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You’ll <strong>monitor activity</strong> and transactions on customer accounts.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">You will help mitigate risk by escalating Financial crime concerns that you have identified during your reviews.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>What do you need to succeed in this role?</strong></h2><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Have an analytical mindset with a good attention to detail.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong decision-making skills, and excellent writing skills to document decisions. </p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Can effectively communicate with customers, applicants and senior management, when necessary.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proficient time management skills, comfortable meeting targets and deadlines.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Previous financial crime experience is advantageous, particularly around screening and KYC.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing solutions, including the use of automation and AI technologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial crime prevention.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrated ability to leverage data, machine learning, and AI to develop and optimise strategies for fraud and financial crime detection and prevention.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><h2><strong>The interview process</strong></h2><p style="min-height:1.5em">We’re not a corporation so we try our best to get things moving as quickly as possible.
