Senior Accountant - Hybrid - NL/BE/DE/LU/FR

<p><strong>Helios Software Group</strong>&nbsp;is looking for an eager and self-motivated Senior Accountant to join our growing team.</p><p>As the Senior Accountant, you will work alongside the Senior Director of Finance and the Head of Finance.</p><p>This hybrid role includes occasional travel to our other group offices for period closings, statutory audits and team collaboration.</p><p><u><strong>What your day will look like:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Perform financial <u>period close tasks and complex journal entries</u>/accounting analysis,</li><li>Perform <u>Balance Sheet analysis</u> and reviews, including <u>reconciliations</u> of accounts,</li><li>Follow up with Vendors/Suppliers regarding missing invoices, full accountability on the <u>cost accruals</u> for the <u>P&amp;L review</u>, </li><li>Process <u>payments, bank transfers</u>, and ensure that approvals are adequate,</li><li><u>Reconcile inter-company</u> transactions,</li><li>Prepare and process payroll tax returns, VAT returns &amp; intra-community (ICP) declarations for local entities,</li><li>Ensure that key controls and procedures are respected and implemented where needed,</li><li>Preparing <u>financial KPIs</u> and reviewing for <u>accuracy,</u></li><li> Lead annual statutory <u>audits</u> completion, yearly <u>closing of financial statements and tax filings</u>, and ad-hoc compliance requirements,</li><li>Prepare ad-hoc performance analysis and management reporting,</li><li>Perform monthly variance analysis of actual vs. plan (budget/forecast),</li><li>Support Head of Finance in oversight of AP/AR analysts, including review of their work, coaching and onboarding. Supervise &amp; assist the team and make sure the whole team delivers in a timely manner,</li><li>Participate in special projects.</li></ul><p><u><strong>About You:</strong></u></p><ul><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience.</li><li>Multi-currency and multi-divisional experience are key requirements.</li><li>A professional qualification in bookkeeping and/or accounting is an asset.</li><li>Demonstrable expertise in accrual accounting theory and practice.</li><li>Proficient in MS Office, specifically Excel.</li><li>Netsuite experience is a plus.</li><li>A detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on the process and solving problems.</li><li>A genuinely curious mindset, capable of quickly learning new systems, and the desire to grow and develop over time.</li><li>A team player who loves a challenge and wants to eventually ‘own’ their area of the business.</li><li>Fluency in English is required; Dutch, German or French is a plus.</li><li>You're currently living in and authorized to work in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Luxembourg or France (no visa sponsorship available).</li></ul><p>Find more <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com/english-speaking-jobs">English Speaking Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
