Specialty Insurance Advisor

<p>Authority is developing insurance-focused products, intelligence and advisory offerings for businesses. We are looking for an experienced specialty insurance professional who is currently active in the United Kingdom to advise us as we develop and improve these offerings.</p> <p>You will help us understand complex risks, customer needs, coverage structures, underwriting considerations and the way specialty insurance products are distributed and purchased.</p> <h2>What you will advise us on</h2> <ul> <li>Specialty insurance product opportunities and customer needs</li> <li>Coverage design, limits, exclusions and policy wording</li> <li>Underwriting, risk selection and pricing</li> <li>Capacity, reinsurance and carrier appetite</li> <li>Broker, MGA and specialty-market distribution</li> <li>Claims complexity and common coverage gaps</li> <li>Competitive positioning and emerging market opportunities</li> </ul> <h2>Relevant areas of expertise</h2> <ul> <li>Cyber</li> <li>Directors and officers liability</li> <li>Errors and omissions</li> <li>Marine and aviation</li> <li>Energy and infrastructure</li> <li>Political risk</li> <li>Trade credit</li> <li>Transactional risk</li> <li>Specialty property and casualty</li> <li>Professional or financial lines</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>At least 5 years of relevant insurance experience</li> <li>Currently operating in or closely involved with the the United Kingdom insurance market</li> <li>Up-to-date knowledge of local customers, regulation and market conditions</li> <li>Firsthand experience with insurance product, underwriting, claims, brokerage or distribution decisions</li> <li>A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience</li> </ul> <h2>Engagement details</h2> <ul> <li>Independent consulting contract</li> <li>Remote within the United Kingdom</li> <li>Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month</li> <li>Flexible scheduling</li> </ul> <p>This is not a full-time position or a sales role.
