<h3>About the Role</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em">A fast-growing, Y Combinator–backed conversational AI startup is hiring a <strong>Head of Marketing</strong> to own and scale its entire marketing engine — from strategy and budget to hands-on execution. The company builds an AI voice platform that automates customer call operations for B2C businesses, handling sales, support, and operational workflows at scale across millions of calls.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a founding-level marketing hire. You'll define how a technical, category-defining product is positioned and communicated, build a repeatable AI-first growth motion, and play a central role in the company's international expansion into the UK and US markets. You'll start hands-on and grow a high-performing team around you over time.</p><h3>What You'll Do</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Own marketing end-to-end — full strategic and operational responsibility, including budget ownership and pipeline reporting.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Define and evolve positioning, messaging, and storytelling that make a technical product memorable and conversion-focused.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Set strategy, channel priorities, and KPIs; continuously track and report on pipeline impact.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Build and run a growth playbook that leverages AI and automation to scale inbound across organic and paid channels.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Plan and execute go-to-market launches for new segments and markets, with a particular focus on UK and US expansion.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Run rigorous experiments across channels; use data to prioritise and prove new growth levers.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hire, develop, and lead a marketing team as the function scales, while staying operationally involved throughout.</p></li></ul><h3>What We're Looking For</h3><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Required</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">4+ years in growth or marketing, with a track record of owning the function and managing a meaningful budget — ideally at an early-stage company or as an early marketing hire.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Proven experience translating technical products into clear, compelling positioning and storytelling.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Strong, hands-on growth experience across organic and paid channels, with a focus on building repeatable playbooks.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience leading go-to-market launches for new segments and international markets (e.g. UK, US).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience designing and executing AI-driven growth strategies and marketing automation.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience building and scaling a marketing team, including hands-on hiring and team development.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Data-driven mindset: comfortable running experiments, tracking KPIs, and making decisions from data.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Fluent in both <strong>English and German</strong> (bilingual) for marketing messaging and cross-functional collaboration.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Background in B2B SaaS or AI/automation-adjacent products.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Familiarity with CRM and marketing automation tooling (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce).</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience at a high-growth startup scaling from seed toward Series A/B.</p></li></ul><h3>Compensation & Benefits</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Salary:</strong> €75,000 – €120,000 per year, depending on experience.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Equity participation in a well-funded, early-stage company.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">High-impact, high-ownership role with significant influence over company growth trajectory.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work alongside an experienced, internationally minded team in Berlin.</p></li></ul><h3>Location</h3><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>On-site in Berlin, Germany</strong> — this role is based in the Berlin office.</p></li><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Visa sponsorship is <strong>not available</strong> for this position.</p></li></ul><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
