Senior SAP ABAP Developer - HR Data Migration Support (Freelance, Remote)

<p>We are currently supporting an international client in the automotive sector with the stabilization and maintenance of an existing SAP HR master data migration solution.</p> <p>The technical setup is already in place. HR master data is currently being transferred from a legacy SAP environment into the new company SAP system. The client is therefore <strong>not looking for a developer to build a new solution</strong>, but for an experienced ABAP specialist who can support the team with occasional technical issues, debugging and small adjustments.</p> <p>The assignment is expected to require approximately <strong>4 hours per week</strong> and is particularly suitable for a senior SAP freelancer who can provide flexible support alongside another project.</p> <ul> <li><strong>Start:</strong> ASAP</li> <li><strong>Workload:</strong> Approx. 4 hours/week</li> <li><strong>Duration:</strong> Long-term / ongoing support</li> <li><strong>Location:</strong> 100% remote</li> <li><strong>Team location:</strong> Mainly Romania</li> <li><strong>Language:</strong> English</li> <li><strong>Contract type:</strong> Freelance / B2B</li> </ul> <h2>Tasks</h2> <ul> <li>Analyze and troubleshoot issues in existing SAP ABAP developments</li> <li>Debug and correct existing custom programs and reportsImplement small adjustments and enhancements where required</li> <li>Support HR master data migration and data processing between SAP systems</li> <li>Analyze and resolve data inconsistencies and processing errors</li> <li>Troubleshoot SAP background jobs and custom interfaces</li> <li>Work with existing custom tables, reports, function modules and RFC-based processes</li> <li>Support testing and validation of implemented fixes</li> <li>Document technical changes where required</li> <li>Collaborate directly with the international HR IT team</li> </ul> <p>The role is based on an already implemented SAP HCM master-data landscape with custom reports, RFC-based transfers, snapshot/staging tables and scheduled background jobs.</p> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>Several years of hands-on SAP ABAP development experience</li> <li>Strong ABAP debugging and troubleshooting skills</li> <li>Proven experience maintaining and modifying existing custom developments</li> <li>Good understanding of SAP tables, reports, function modules and background jobs</li> <li>Experience with RFC-based interfaces or SAP-to-SAP data transfers</li> <li>Ability to quickly understand an existing technical setup with limited onboarding</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</li> <li>Independent and pragmatic working style</li> <li>Fluent English</li> </ul> <p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.com">Jobs in Germany</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
