We're looking for a Biomedical Scientist who is comfortable working differently, embraces innovation, and takes pride in delivering accurate results at exceptional pace.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">Neko Health members come through our London clinics for whole-body preventive health screenings, and our laboratories sit at the centre of the patient journey. They are busy, modern spaces, and the service continues to develop as we scale.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This is a hands-on, autonomous role, based on site in one of our central London laboratories. As a Biomedical Scientist, you will operate our Abbott Alinity and Sysmex XN-550 analysers and support the quality systems that allow us to return results within 30 minutes of sample receipt.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">If you're a BMS looking to further develop your career in an innovation-led environment, we would love to hear from you.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>What You'll Deliver in the First 6 - 12 Months</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Initialise the analysers each day and ready them for sample processing.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Perform testing on our Abbott Alinity (biochemistry and immunoassay) and Sysmex XN-550 (haematology) analysers, validating patient results and escalating clinically anomalous or unexpected findings.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Carry out daily calibration, internal quality control, and routine maintenance of analysers, troubleshooting and escalating technical issues promptly.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Work within our ISO 15189-aligned, UKAS-facing quality management system: author SOP updates, monitor EQA performance, support audits, and investigate non-conformances.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Contribute to service improvement work, including analyser verification, reagent evaluation, and software testing.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Maintain accurate, auditable records and support performance monitoring across turnaround times, KPIs, and consumables usage.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Provide technical guidance to clinical colleagues and support training across the lab team.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Minimum Requirements</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist, with evidence of ongoing CPD.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Minimum one year of post-registration experience in clinical chemistry and immunoassay, including IQC and EQA practice.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Demonstrable experience operating an integrated clinical chemistry and immunoassay analyser.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience working accurately and efficiently under time pressure, suited to a low-volume, fast-turnaround service model.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em"><strong>Preferred</strong></p><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Post-registration experience in haematology.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience operating Sysmex XN-series haematology analysers.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Hands-on experience operating Abbott Alinity ci-series.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience in POCT, rapid diagnostics, or high-throughput clinical settings.</p></li></ul><ul style="min-height:1.5em"><li><p style="min-height:1.5em">Experience with laboratory information management systems (LIMS), digital result reporting, or involvement in LIMS development and user acceptance testing.</p></li></ul><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk">Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
