<h2>About the role</h2> <p>Authority is building an expert intelligence network to understand and forecast important developments across the global data-centre industry.</p> <p>We are looking for an experienced data-centre professional who is currently active in the the United Kingdom market and has up-to-date knowledge of local conditions.</p> <p>You will provide practical market intelligence about supply and demand, power availability, project pipelines, construction activity, investment, regulation, pricing and operator strategy in the United Kingdom.</p> <p>Your insights will help us improve datasets and forecasting models designed to predict commercial events and outcomes across the global data-centre market.</p> <h2>What you will contribute</h2> <ul> <li>Participate in short monthly research calls</li> <li>Review market data and identify missing or inaccurate information</li> <li>Explain important changes in the local market</li> <li>Assess the likelihood and timing of new developments</li> <li>Provide intelligence on projects, operators, investors and major customers</li> <li>Review forecasts and explain which local signals could affect the outcome</li> </ul> <h2>Relevant areas of expertise</h2> <ul> <li>Data-centre development and investment</li> <li>Colocation and hyperscale operations</li> <li>Site selection and land acquisition</li> <li>Power procurement and grid connections</li> <li>Construction, engineering and project delivery</li> <li>Capacity, take-up, vacancy and pricing</li> <li>Planning, permitting and environmental regulation</li> <li>Cloud, AI and high-performance computing infrastructure</li> </ul> <h2>Requirements</h2> <ul> <li>At least 5 years of relevant professional experience</li> <li>Currently operating in or closely involved with the the United Kingdom data-centre market</li> <li>Strong and current knowledge of local market conditions</li> <li>Firsthand exposure to commercial or strategic decisions in the sector</li> <li>A valid LinkedIn profile showing relevant professional experience</li> </ul> <h2>Engagement details</h2> <ul> <li>Independent contract</li> <li>Remote within the United Kingdom</li> <li>Approximately 2 to 4 paid consulting hours per month</li> </ul> <p>This is not a full-time position.
