Not only have we created this holographic technology, that sits within The Atom — a smart, site-safe headset/hardhat — but we implement it on projects, utilising the power of AR to ensure that all schemes are completed in line with delivery timescales and budgets.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">XYZ has grown to over 100 staff across the UK, US &amp; Europe and is working with Mission Critical organisations &amp; construction companies to successfully deliver major projects.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">THE ROLE</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">This role sits within the Production team at our NPI facility in Reading, Berkshire, reporting to the Senior Production Engineer.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">As Production Assembly &amp; Test Engineer, you will carry out hands-on assembly of XYZ's AR devices combined with in-process and final test and calibration. The role spans build and verification — assembling to SOP standards, then carrying out the calibration and test that releases product to customers.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">You'll also contribute to documentation, quality processes and goods-in inspection, playing a key part in ensuring every Atom device that leaves our facility meets XYZ's exacting standards.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Assemble the full range of XYZ AR devices to SOP and specification, including robot calibration and configuration processes that set the accuracy of our AR devices.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Perform in-process and final test to defined acceptance criteria, releasing product under the QMS; maintain calibration records and support the calibration register for production test equipment.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Record test and calibration results accurately against serial numbers; support software and firmware installation and verification during assembly and test.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Identify, record and escalate non-conforming product through the NCR process; support fault-finding, repair and rework on returned and failed units.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Create and maintain SOPs and work instructions for assembly, test and calibration processes under the QMS, keeping documentation current as processes and engineering changes are made.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Support goods-in inspection to acceptance criteria alongside the Logistics and Warehousing Coordinator.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Hands-on assembly experience on complex electro-mechanical products.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Test, calibration and measurement experience — ideally including automated or robotic calibration equipment.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Ability to write, follow and improve test procedures, SOPs and acceptance criteria.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">KEY EXPERIENCE &amp; SKILLS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Fault-finding and debugging skills across both electronics and mechanical assemblies.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Comfortable with command-line tools and with software and firmware installation.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Understanding of calibration control and traceability requirements.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Accurate record-keeping and genuine attention to detail — a high-quality output matters to you personally.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Good IT skills including MS Office.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">• Comfortable working to QMS standards in a structured, process-driven production environment.</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p style="min-height:1.5em">BENEFITS</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">──────────────────────────────</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🏝️ 25 days annual leave + public holidays</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🩺 Private healthcare with Vitality</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🎄 Christmas shutdown days on top of leave allowance (2–4 per year usually)</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🪙 Biannual salary reviews</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🥳 Summer &amp; Christmas staff parties</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">💰 Employee referral scheme</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🚲 Cycle to Work scheme</p><p style="min-height:1.5em">🚀 Make a real-world impact of revolutionising the construction industry</p><p style="min-height:1.5em"></p><p>Find <a href="https://www.arbeitnow.co.uk">Jobs in United Kingdom</a> on Arbeitnow</a>
