Privacy Policy

Global Opportunities Hub ("GOH", "we", "us") helps you discover jobs, scholarships, visas, and travel and business opportunities worldwide. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we store and share it, and the rights you have over it.

1. Data we collect

• Account data: name, email address, password (hashed), preferred language, and role (job seeker, employer, recruiter, university, provider, admin).
• Profile data: CVs, cover letters, education, work history, skills, portfolio links, references and preferred countries you choose to add.
• Documents: files you upload to the secure documents bucket (e.g. passports, certificates) to support applications you initiate.
• Usage data: pages visited, actions taken, device type, IP address and approximate location, used to secure the service and improve it.
• Payment data: when you buy a subscription or a service we record the transaction amount, currency and status. Card details are handled directly by our payment processor and never touch our servers.

2. How we use your data

• Operate the platform and personalise your recommendations.
• Match your profile to jobs, scholarships, visas and travel offers.
• Send transactional emails (application updates, receipts, security alerts).
• Send optional marketing emails only after you opt in.
• Prevent fraud, scams and abuse, and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. AI features

Some features (CV review, job matching, translation, interview coach, visa assistant) use large language models. Your inputs are sent to the model provider solely to generate the requested output and are not used to train third-party foundation models. AI outputs are advisory only and are always labelled as AI-generated. See our AI Disclaimer.

4. Sharing

We share personal data only with: (a) service providers that host, secure and operate the platform; (b) employers, universities or partners you explicitly apply to; (c) law enforcement where legally required. We do not sell your personal data.

5. Retention

We keep account data for as long as your account is active. Documents can be deleted at any time from your account. When you delete your account, we remove your profile, uploads and personal data within 30 days, except records we must keep for legal reasons (e.g. paid invoices for up to 7 years).

6. Your rights

• Access, correct or export your data from your account settings.
• Delete your account or specific data at any time from the account page.
• Withdraw consent for marketing emails via the unsubscribe link.
• Complain to your local data protection authority.

7. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. Access is scoped by row-level security so users can only read their own data. Administrative access is audit-logged.

8. Children

GOH is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes

We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
